Lakeside Nature Haven in Tzununa Lake Atitlan

This past weekend, we stayed at a friends house in Tzununa on Lake Atitlan. It has acres of secluded nature and an unobstructed lake view with a private dock. The beds were comfy, the birds were joyful and we did a little bit of nothing. That meant reading books, playing uno, listening to the wind and going to sleep with views of the stars.

You can jump right into the lake from our property.
The kitchen equipped with fridge, stove & oven has all the equipment necessary to enjoy all the amazing local produce!
The property as 1 other rental house on it. The garden and the lakeshore are shared spaces.
This Haven is a safe and secure spot to enjoy your stay. A 10 minute boat ride from San Marcos which is particularly interesting for the spiritually minded; it offers numerous healing therapies and courses, as well as, yoga and massage.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE

The lake is in a rural, tropical area, which means there are bugs and insects. This area has an ubiquitous flat spider which will be found in every property or house despite the best efforts of any cleaning team. It is absolutely harmless. Rural Guatemala is also home to a non-lethal scorpion occasional you may find.
We are built into the hillside and do not use pesticides or fumigate our property, so you will find critters. None of them are poisonous, but if you have arachnophobia it is not the property for you

REMEMBER

To have time for what is valuable, you have to stop giving time to what isn't.

Thanks for reading. And as always . . . Be thoughtful. Stay kind.
