The Living Lake | For Everything Corona

Featured in Corona’s The Living Lake documentary by Clé Hunnigan & Barnabas Keleman

Released in 2021, The Living Lake is a short documentary by Corona filmed at Lake Atitlán, Guatemala.

Produced in collaboration with Hiptipico, the film draws on more than a decade of relationships with Indigenous communities around the lake. AYA founder Alyssa McGarry appears throughout the documentary as a cultural facilitator, connecting the production with local artisans, traditions, and communities while helping shape the experience on the ground.

Set against one of Guatemala’s most remarkable landscapes, the film explores the relationship between Lake Atitlán, the surrounding Maya communities, and the natural systems that sustain them. Through the lens of Maya cosmovision and longstanding cultural traditions, it reflects on the connection between culture, water, and place.
